Location

Gwanjeong 3-ri, where Sejong meets Cheonan.

The place itself is part of the story: a village of about a hundred people on a road still named after water carried to a king.

Where it sits

Gwanjeong 3-ri belongs to Jeonui-myeon, in Sejong-si, at the point where the city's boundary meets Cheonan. It is rural, quiet, and small enough that most maps show it as little more than a cluster of roofs beside a road.

Wangeuimul-ro — the King's Water Road

The road through the village is officially named after Jeonui Chosu, the spring once relayed to the palace for King Sejong's eye ailment. Most visitors driving through have no idea what the name refers to.
